feel gÜd greetings by Ruthie O'Hehir

Ruthie developed the idea for feel gÜd greetings in 2009 as a way to share her cartoons and doodles with others who would enjoy her artistic style. The brand is named after her first dog as an adult, the sweetest Chihuahua, Oliver AKA Oli, Olikins, Sir Bartimus of the Small Dog Council, Lucifer, Smalls, Schmoops…

Just like feel gÜd greetings, Oli brings joy and comfort to everyone he meets!

What is Zentangle?

According to founders Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas, “Zentangle is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. Almost anyone can use it to create beautiful images. It increases focus and creativity, providing artistic satisfaction along with an increased sense of personal well-being. The Zentangle method is enjoyed all over this world across a wide range of skills, interests and ages.

The act of creating a Zentangle is known as tangling. Traditionally, Zentangles are miniature pieces of unplanned, abstract, black and white art created in a very structured method from an ensemble of repetitive patterns on a 3.5-inch (89 mm) square paper tile. They are not only exquisitely beautiful, they are fun and relaxing to create. The process of creating a Zentangle is a form of “artistic meditation” as one becomes completely engrossed in making each pattern, deliberately focusing on “one stroke at a time”.

Zentagle Inspired Art (ZIA)

Zentangle Inspired Art (ZIA) uses patterns to create artwork in color, on alternative surfaces, and more. Many of Ruthie’s drawings are considered Zentangle Inspired Art because she uses shapes like flowers, birds, or other objects as an outline for a colorful Zentangle.
